There is something so special about starting a wedding day at home. Alena got ready at her parent’s house, surrounded by the warmth of family. The morning was filled with laughter, and a sense of calm excitement. One of my favorite moments was her first look with her dad in the living room. Snowy Portraits at Major’s Hill Park and the National Gallery of Canada
From the Château Laurier, we walked over to Major’s Hill Park for portraits. Fresh snow covered the ground, and the Parliament buildings peeked through the trees. It felt like stepping inside a winter wonderland with their wedding party!!
We then headed to the National Gallery of Canada for portraits in the iconic glass hall. The clean architecture and natural light offered a modern contrast to the cozy outdoor images. In a quiet corner of the gallery, David and Alena exchanged private vows, an intimate moment that felt like time stood still.
A Joyful Wedding Ceremony and Reception at Restaurant e18hteen
Their ceremony and reception were held at Restaurant e18hteen, a beautiful venue in the heart of downtown Ottawa. The atmosphere was warm, candlelit, and full of energy. Guests laughed, clinked glasses, and danced late into the evening.
As the night wrapped up, something WILDLY magical happened. A group of volunteers dressed as Santas was passing by, raising money for charity. Knowing how much Alena loves Christmas, we ran outside to capture a few fun photos. It was the perfect, festive ending to a winter wedding day.
