When most couples start planning their wedding, the venue search usually goes something like this: banquet halls, barns, hotels, country clubs… rinse and repeat. Restaurant weddings often get skipped entirely, not because they’re a bad option, but because they’re misunderstood. And honestly, boooooo!!


Restaurant weddings are intimate, stylish, and wildly underrated. Tables? Timelines? Dancing? People assume restaurants are inflexible. In reality, many restaurants already host private events regularly and as an automation nerd, I love that many restaurants have streamlined client management systems for SOOOOO many things:

3. They’re Not Marketed as “Wedding Venues”

Restaurants don’t always show up on traditional wedding venue lists, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t incredible spaces. Some of the most beautiful weddings I’ve photographed haven't happened in “wedding venues” at all.
