A Night to Remember: Ottawa Wedding Vendors Peer Choice Awards and Industry Night
I had the pleasure of sponsoring a portrait booth and capturing a few photos of the evening at A Mid Spring Night's Dream: the Ottawa Wedding Vendors Peer Choice Awards and Industry Night at Umbrella Bar. It was an evening filled with excitement, talent, and celebration, as the best in the wedding industry came together to honor their peers and have sponsors showcase their skills. About the Event:
This year’s Ottawa Wedding Vendors Peer Choice Awards and Industry Night was a total dream—literally! Inspired by a Mid-Summer Night’s Dream, the evening was packed with magic, celebration, and the incredible talent that makes Ottawa’s wedding community shine. Hosted at the gorgeous lakeside Umbrella Bar, the event was all about bringing people together, celebrating achievements, and having a ridiculously good time.
Our amazing emcee, Brittany from Wild Bloem Studios, kept the vibe fun and lively, and fun, her speech was perfection!! Krista from Wishtree worked her magic, creating designs that were so perfectly on theme they felt straight out of a storybook. Kseniia from Nectar Flowers Ottawa turned the space into a floral wonderland with blooms that were as dreamy as they were breathtaking and let's talk about how she created flowers that we got to wear!!!!!! Seriously, can we talk about how SPOILED I was getting to work along side Kseniia and photograph guests wearing flowers that she created?!?!?! Keerthi, owner of The Baker in Pajamas, wowed everyone with desserts that were almost too pretty to eat (but of course, we all devoured them anyway). The dance floor, installed by Fatima from Ottawa Dance Floors, really tied the space together with the dance floor wrap! Mark at Pulse Entertainment, ensuring that wedding vendors got to PARTY and kept the good vibes going! And let’s talk about the live art, Sarah Alexandra brought a whole new level of magic by engraving candles live on site. Gyneya and the Umbrella Bar team rounded everything out with an amazing venue and great vibes, making the night nothing short of perfect.
Why We Celebrate:
Sure, the night was gorgeous, but it also goes beyond the details. These awards mean something because they’re by the community, for the community. Vendors nominate and vote for their peers—the people who inspire them, challenge them, and make the wedding industry in Ottawa so special. I always love reminicing on the past year and nominating peers when the awards open, it's such a good reflection on all the amazing people I get to work with! It’s really a true celebration of the hard work, creativity, and passion that goes into every wedding season.

Portraits Adorned with Flowers
Move over plastic props and feather boas, Nectar Flower Studio created wearable flowers that truly elevated this portrait experience. A spin on the traditional wedding and event photobooth, I offer a Portrait Studio for clients to strike their best pose and get stunning polished photos from the event. Working with Kseniia was an absolute dream, and getting to host portrait booths for my peers pushes my creativity to new levels. We went bright and airy with a nod to fine art with this portrait studio and I am so happy with the results. Thank you to the wedding community for letting me flex my studio work and break out of my usual styles; at Noël En Noir I got to showcase a dark and moody side to photography and play with coloured gels and I LOVED it.
