The holiday season isn’t just for family gatherings and festive cheer—it's also the time for Ottawa Wedding Vendors to don their finest attire and celebrate at Noel En Noir! This highly anticipated event is THE social highlight of the year, bringing together some of the most talented creatives and professionals in our wedding industry. Hosted graciously at the stunning Le Belvédère, one of the top Ottawa wedding venues, this masquerade party truly encapsulated the holiday magic with a luxurious, dark, and moody twist.
Capturing the Night: A Photographer’s Dream
This year, I had the honor of sponsoring the photography for the event, and hired Brooklyn Mott from Brooklyn Media LLC, visiting all the way from Ohio, with her husband Jordan, a wedding venue owner (Skyview Lodge) in Brunswick, Ohio. I was so excited for this creative project that pushed me out of my bright and airy photographer bubble, I welcomed guests to a dramatic portrait as they arrived. I oo'd and awwe'd over the outfits and the amazing masks, of course, this guest list brought their A-Game, creating masks, renting gowns and coordinating outfits, I was obsessed. Stepping away from my usual bright and airy editing style, I dove right in and embraced the moody masquerade vibes to create dark, glamorous portraits. Brooklyn and I then joined forces to capture candid moments of Ottawa Wedding Peers enjoying the evening. It was great to get to tell her all about the amazing people at the party!!

- MDRN Photobooth Company delighted guests with their stunning new bespoke wooden photo booth and lush green backdrop. I'm excited to see more of this booth!!
- Olivia Carey Aerial Entertainment left everyone in awe with the gravity-defying performances—an absolute showstopper!
- Ottawa Dance Floors added style with a beautifully wrapped dancefloor, and boy, did we tear it up!
- Oxygen Entertainment kept the dancefloor packed all night with his DJ magic.
- Luxe Duo kicked off the night with enchanting live music, creating the perfect ambiance for mingling.
- Pollen Nation designed a breathtaking wreath and floral installation, perfect for the event’s theme. (Katherine was my wedding florist so I always obsess over getting to see her work)
- Wishtree Design tied it all together with stationery that was as playful as it was stunning. Krista’s designs never fail to elevate an event!
- Whalesbone wowed guests with an oyster bar, their team charming everyone with laughter and smiles.
- My Catering Group delighted with late-night bao—a true crowd-pleaser! Watching their team serve was like watching a mini show.
- 417 Bus Line ensured everyone got to and from the event safely, adding a thoughtful touch to the night.
A Night to Remember
From incredible desserts to jaw-dropping entertainment, Noel En Noir was a spectacular celebration of community and creativity. It’s an honor to photograph my peers and connect with so many incredible vendors who make Ottawa weddings so dang extraordinary. To those I danced with, laughed with, and captured on camera—thank you for making this event unforgettable. I’m already counting down to next year’s festivities!
