Lucas & Kristie’s Stunning Elopement in Ottawa
Lucas and Kristie’s wedding was nothing short of magical. The day started at the beautiful Hilton Garden Inn, where they exchanged heartfelt vows in an intimate ceremony surrounded by their closest family and friends. The usual pre-ceremony jitters seemed to completely fade away as soon as Lucas and Kristie got to their ceremony! Lucas' puppy dog eyes—full of love and admiration—melted everyone’s hearts, and Kristie radiated pure joy looking at him.
The couple’s rings were a reflection of their unique connection. Lucas’s ring was inspired by the Orion belt, a nod to his love for the stars, while Kristie’s ring was the perfect match, carefully chosen to complement Lucas's but still embody her own style. Kristie also had a sentimental bouquet charm with loved ones that couldn't be there, it was the perfect way to have them feel present and a part of day. It was these personal details that made their wedding day so incredibly special.
After their sweet ceremony, we moved on to the family photos, which were filled with laughter and lighthearted moments. Kristie and Lucas's families were just as wonderful as they were, creating such a fun atmosphere. It was clear how much love and support surrounded the couple, and it made for some amazing, posed and candid shots.
We continued to venture to the Garden of the Provinces and Territories for the couple's portraits. This lush Ottawa spot provided the perfect backdrop for their glowing photos. Kristie and Lucas were absolute naturals in front of the camera, their love shining through every shot. They were fully enjoying each other’s company as we explored the garden and were so lovey dovey. Their sweet, playful personalities were a joy to capture, and their genuine affection made the photos radiate with happiness.
We chit chated about their cat, Peach, though, who was being cat sit back home in New Brunswick. With this being the longest time they had spent apart from their fur baby, they made sure to stay connected, receiving updates and adorable pictures from the cat sitter..... My cat lady heart strings were PULLED.
It was an unforgettable day, and I was honored to capture every precious moment.
